Five hours behind Magic Kingdom

Keys to the Kingdom is a walking tour through the park’s history, from Walt Disney’s own ideas to the hidden details most visitors walk past.

The highlight is a visit to the Utilidor, the service tunnels that carry cast members and supplies beneath the park out of sight. Disney explains that the guest areas of Magic Kingdom actually sit on the second floor of a huge structure, with the Utilidor below.

Lunch is included, and you take home a keepsake from the tour.

Rules to know before booking

Every guest must be 16 or older and bring a valid photo ID.

No cameras, video recording or phones may be used during the tour, so plan to be offline for five hours.

It is an outdoor walking tour, so dress for the weather, and check in at Town Square Theater 15 minutes before the start.

Tickets, timing and cancellations

Magic Kingdom admission is required and not included, and a theme park reservation may also be needed.

Disney charges the full price if you cancel within a day of the tour or don’t show up. That gives people a reason to cancel early, and the freed spots go back on sale.

The tour is part of Disney’s Enchanting Extras, see Disney Enchanting Extras: What they are and how to book them.

Catching a Keys to the Kingdom spot

Same-day bookings are limited, which makes a spot freed up a few days ahead the one to catch.
