Napa Rose cooks a menu that shifts through the seasons, drawing on European, Asian, Latin and American styles and on produce from California and further afield.

The wine list is a draw in its own right, and every table captain holds at least a Level 1 sommelier qualification, so asking for a pairing is part of the evening.

Dress is smart casual, and children 9 and under have a menu of their own.

Four areas, three to reserve

You can reserve the Main Dining Room, the open-air Outdoor Terrace or the Chef's Counter, where the chefs prepare each course in front of you.

Terrace bookings depend on the weather, and if rain moves yours, Disney tries to find room inside but can't guarantee it.

The Lounge takes walk-ins only, with its own menu of bites and cocktails, and parties of up to 16 can book the Private Dining Room by phone.

Why Napa Rose is so hard to book

Napa Rose's own service is dinner only, so no breakfast or lunch takes any pressure off the evening.

Mornings in the same room belong to Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, a character breakfast with its own tickets and its own reservations.

It needs no park ticket either, which opens it to anyone staying in or visiting Anaheim, not just park guests.

Bookings open 60 days ahead, at around 6:00 AM Pacific.

How to catch a Napa Rose cancellation

Cancel the Main Dining Room or terrace less than two days out, or the Chef's Counter less than seven days out, and Disney charges a per-person fee.

Reservations can't be modified either, so any change of plan means canceling and booking again.
