The characters come dressed for a day on the sand, and the dining room plays along with a breezy seaside look.

It is a buffet, so you can eat at your own pace while Minnie and her friends make their way around the room. Most families find it an easygoing start to the day.

Characters at breakfast only

Minnie and friends appear at breakfast and nowhere else. Cape May Cafe closes after breakfast and reopens in the evening for a surf-and-turf buffet with no character visits.

If meeting Minnie is the point, make sure your reservation, and any alert you set, is for the morning.

Close to EPCOT

The Beach Club sits a short walk from EPCOT's International Gateway, so breakfast here pairs easily with a day in that park.

Because it belongs to the resort rather than a park, breakfast here needs no theme park ticket.

Next door at the Yacht Club, Ale & Compass Restaurant serves a quieter breakfast without characters. Inside EPCOT, Garden Grill Restaurant hosts Chip ’n’ Dale as the dining room turns above the boat ride.

For dessert afterward, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is in the same resort, a retro soda fountain with a jukebox.

How hard is it to book?

Cape May Cafe is one of the calmer character breakfasts to reserve, well behind the princess meals and 'Ohana for demand. Peak weeks still fill up, and larger families may find fewer times that fit their party size.

Getting a table when it looks full

Character breakfast openings often surface the evening before, as other families settle their plans for the next morning. Across Disney World character breakfasts, most next-morning openings we detect appear after 6:00 PM.
