The Garden View Lounge reservations and alerts
Afternoon tea at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, in the garden-style lounge long known as the Garden View Tea Room. Seatings are few and paid in full at booking, so a freed table rarely sits for long.

“Park Drop consistently found Disney dining reservations we couldn’t get ourselves.” — Emily M.
Afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian
Disney now books it as The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience, but most guests still know it as the Garden View Tea Room, the name it carried for years.
The room is light and garden-themed, with a Victorian feel that suits the resort around it, and the service is a proper British afternoon tea.
What comes with tea
Pots of Twinings tea arrive with scones, small savory bites and pastries.
Adults choose the traditional service or a plant-based version, and children have an afternoon tea of their own.
The menu shifts with the seasons, so Disney’s site is the place to check what is on the stand and what it costs.
The Disney Dining Plan is not accepted here, so budget for tea separately if you are using one.
Why seats are scarce
It is a small lounge serving a single afternoon service, and tea is a slow, sit-and-talk occasion, so each table turns only a few times a day.
Interest has jumped too. Searches for Grand Floridian afternoon tea grew several times over in the past year, and weekend afternoons go first.
Full payment is taken when you book and the reservation cannot be changed afterward, so guests tend to commit only once their plans are firm.
Catching a cancellation
Canceling inside 24 hours forfeits the full price, so guests whose plans change usually release their table a day or more ahead rather than on the afternoon itself.
Set an alert above and Park Drop will email and text you when a matching seating opens. For characters in the same building, 1900 Park Fare is the one to watch.
The Garden View Lounge reservation FAQs
Is the Garden View Tea Room the same as The Garden View Lounge?
Yes. Disney renamed the tea service The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience, and that is the name to look for on its site.
Do I need a park ticket for afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian?
No. It is inside Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which has its own monorail stop, so no park admission is needed.
Is there a dress code for Garden View tea?
Disney asks for clothing that suits an upscale room: clean, neat and in good condition, with no swimwear.
Can children come to afternoon tea?
Yes. There is a children’s afternoon tea alongside the adult service, with its own menu.
What if I need to cancel my tea reservation?
Cancel more than 24 hours ahead to avoid a charge. Later than that, or if you do not show, the full price is kept, and bookings cannot be modified once confirmed.
Can Park Drop alert me when a Garden View tea seating opens?
Yes. Choose your date and party size above, and Park Drop watches around the clock, sending an email and text as soon as a matching seating appears.
