What makes Café Orleans special

Café Orleans sits in New Orleans Square, on a patio looking out over the Rivers of America. It is one of the few places at Disneyland Park where you can eat properly outdoors and still be in the middle of everything.

The Monte Cristo sandwich is why most people book — deep-fried ham, turkey and cheese, dusted with powdered sugar and served with berry preserves. The pommes frites with Cajun spice and remoulade run a close second.

It is table service for lunch and dinner, which makes it a real break in the day rather than a queue and a tray.

Why tables are so hard to book

New Orleans Square is one of the busiest corners of the park and Café Orleans is small. The patio seats a fraction of the crowd walking past it.

Its neighbor, Blue Bayou, is the hardest table at Disneyland, so guests who miss out there try here next. That spillover keeps Café Orleans full even on quieter days.

Good to know before you book

It sits inside Disneyland Park, so you need valid park admission for the day of your reservation. Café Orleans is also one of the restaurants offering the Fantasmic! dining package — that is a separate booking with its own availability, so a regular table here does not include the show, and an alert for one will not cover the other.

How to catch a cancellation

Tables come back through the day as plans shift, and they cluster in the last few days before a date. Lunch is usually easier to land than dinner.
