What makes Plaza Inn special

Plaza Inn sits at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., in a Victorian dining room looking out toward the hub. It is one of the first buildings guests walk past and one of the last places they manage to get a table.

The draw is Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, where Minnie and a rotating cast come to your table while you eat. For families with young children it is often the one fixed point of the whole trip.

Later in the day the kitchen is known for its fried chicken, which has a following of its own quite separate from the characters.

Why it is so hard to book

Character dining concentrates demand. Every family who wants a guaranteed character meeting is competing for the same room, and the room is not large.

Plaza Inn sits alongside Blue Bayou and Napa Rose as one of the three hardest reservations at Disneyland. Morning slots go first, and they go quickly.

Good to know before you book

Plaza Inn is inside Disneyland Park, so you need valid park admission for the day of your reservation — and for a breakfast slot that usually means being at the gates early. Character appearances are not guaranteed to include any particular face, so it is worth booking for the experience rather than for one specific meeting.

How to catch a cancellation

Breakfast bookings are the ones families rearrange most, because they are the hardest to fit around an early park day. Tables come back through the last week before a date.
